Summary

Don’s Appliances is seeking an entry level Cosmetic Technician, responsible for the cosmetic repair and restoration of household appliances. This includes fixing dents, scratches, and other surface damage to ensure appliances look and function like new. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a steady hand, and experience with a variety of repair techniques and materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect appliances for cosmetic damage and determine the best method for repair
• Order replacement parts and quote repairs for non-warranty customers
• Replace or repair damaged parts such as handles, panels, doors, and trim
• Use specialized tools and equipment for cosmetic repairs
• Complete repairs at a high standard of quality and within established time frames
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members about repair progress and any issues encountered
• Test repaired appliances to confirm correct and safe operation
• Assist Service Department with additional tasks as needed

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in using repair tools and equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work independently
• Good communication skills and customer service orientation
• Legibly complete all paperwork
• Follow company procedures and protocols
• Operate a company vehicle in a safe manner
• Strong computer proficiency, including email
• Physical stamina and dexterity and be able to lift and maneuver heavy appliances

Experience:

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a field requiring mechanical assembly/disassembly of components.
• Proven experience in the service industry interacting directly with customers.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical stamina and dexterity, with the ability to lift and maneuver heavy appliances or components (up to 50 lbs.), stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods

License/Certifications:

• Valid Driver’s License required

Work Location/Hours/ Job Type:

• Full- Time

• Robinson Twp. Headquarters / Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm some Saturdays on rotation.
• Regular travel to customer locations and training sites may be required

Pay:

• $22.00 per hour
